Phil Yu by day, “Angry Asian Man” by night. His superpower? An eye for detecting racism all around. The fanatic blogger behind AngryAsianMan.com will be coming to Penn to speak about stereotypes and issues that Asian Americans face in America’s world of popular culture, mass media and in our everyday lives. From the damaging stereotypes of the Asian whiz kid to the kung-fu fighting foreigners, Phil will be speaking about the highs and lows of the Asian American history, both on screen and off. How far have Asian Americans come along, and how far is there to go?

Sponsored by SPEC Connaissance, the Asian American Studies Program, and the Pan-Asian American Community House.

Featuring prestigious performing groups such as Penn Masala, PennYo, Off the Beats and Penn Counterparts among others, our CDs will be sold for $10 while stocks last! All proceeds from your purchase will go directly to Penn Japan Relief Fund.
